News on technology and gadgets – evolution of science

Like the overwhelming majority of young people in the world would agree, since the advent of new Internet technologies, News, became available devices, even things that were unimaginable as infra-red and the projection of the virtual keyboard laser camera phones, MP3, video and web browsing capabilities are now out there and ready to be tested.

Most of this technology is actually still unknown for some people. For example, TiVo has become popular because it can record TV programs with high quality and have a large storage capacity, which is completely obsolete videotapes, but are not gadgets and alternative technologies such as video capture cards or USB devices can do the same the same thing but without costing us a monthly rent. Bluetooth and WiFi are relatively new concept that many users do not fully understand, but is often used by laptops, PDAs and mobile phones.

The fact is that sometimes users are not aware of the implications of technology and how it works, I just want to use it and know it works. While it may be the case with most of us is always good to have someone to ask these questions when you need that information. Fortunately, all that is needed to access a wide range of information on gadgets and technology news is a computer with web access.

The Siemens Smart Chopper Online Votes

Do you still remember about The Siemens Smart Chopper? The bike was designed and built by the prolific motorheads at Orange County Choppers? Yup that’s right! The first custom electric motorcycle rocks a 27 HP electric motor that has a max speed of 100 mph (160 km/h). You can go 60 miles (96 km) on a charge then need about 5 hours to recharge and hit the road again. Cool! :8  On top of the energy efficient motor the bike is made with many recycle materials and adorned with water based paints.

Starting Monday, December 14th, three charities - the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Earth Day Network and Keep America Beautiful - will be competing for online votes to win the first custom electric motorcycle (The Siemens Smart Chopper). Siemens wanted to build this unique chopper to raise environmental awareness and reflect what the 69,000 employees of Siemens USA are doing to help America stay on the cutting edge of tomorrow's green economy. Now it's time to use this symbolic chopper to benefit a great cause. Help them choose what charity should be the recipient of this unique bike, by placing your vote. Voting will be open until April 14th, 2010, so get your votes in today.
