The Siemens Smart Chopper Online Votes

The first custom electric motorcycle rocks a 27 HP electric motor that has a max speed of 100 mph (160 km/h). You can go 60 miles (96 km) on a charge then need about 5 hours to recharge and hit the road again. Cool!  On top of the energy efficient motor the bike is made with many recycle materials and adorned with water based paints.

Starting Monday, December 14th, three charities - the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Earth Day Network and Keep America Beautiful - will be competing for online votes to win the first custom electric motorcycle (The Siemens Smart Chopper). Siemens wanted to build this unique chopper to raise environmental awareness and reflect what the 69,000 employees of Siemens USA are doing to help America stay on the cutting edge of tomorrow's green economy. Now it's time to use this symbolic chopper to benefit a great cause. Help them choose what charity should be the recipient of this unique bike, by placing your vote.
